I started this blog a few years ago as a way to cover career issues and job-hunting tips, when I was the editor of Yahoo! HotJobs.
I now work as director of content marketing for JustAnswer, but I am still using this blog to more loosely write about career advice, the job market, and issues that affect my life and work. But I also reserve the right to just post stuff for fun that has no career value.
After getting laid off in early 2011, I started writing about my experiences in what I call “The Jobless Zone.” Being unemployed can make you feel like you’ve entered a separate space of reality, off the grid. I hope tales of my journey through it might help others.
I administer this site, and I’m basically learning as I go. So I welcome any feedback or suggestions. You can also see more about me on my LinkedIn profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/tommusbach

Interesting storefront in The Netherlands.
Howdy do. I finally started reading your blog. Well done! One teeny thing: add a link directly to your email. How are you? Let’s catch up.
Hi Tom,
I came across your blog while I was researching a Front Page News Editor position at Yahoo! I see you spent a few years there, and I’d like to get your opinion on some things, if you don’t mind. My email address is psmartella@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
Paul Martella
